Can you custom print?

Yes, this is possible. We do like to retain our recycling element and in such cases offer to line bags with our general excess materials. We can offer a design service. This is charged at R 250/hour ex vat in cases where the artwork is set up from scratch. Your designs then belong to you and won’t be shared. Should you choose a design from a site such as Shutterstock we charge the Shutterstock image fee. This varies from print to print. Please note that designs from Shutterstock or other such sites are not protected. Other people may choose similar designs which you may then see in the market place.

Is there a discount if I buy a particular number of bags?

Sliding scale pricing only starts at 1,000 units

I would like to know approximately how long does it take for a custom order to be delivered?

There are generally three stages involved in a custom print:

  • Stage 1: After the artwork is approved there is normally another five days for the printing to be done
  • Stage 2: manufacture is generally done within five days however this is dependent on the quantity ordered
  • Stage 3: packing and delivery generally is done within 3 – 4 days

An estimated delivery date will be provided to you prior to your confirmation of the order

Can I choose a specific colour?

You may choose a prefered colour and the team will try their best to meet your preference however due to the nature of the business, we cannot guarantee the colour

How much weight can your shopper bags hold?

Our bags have been tested with weights amounting to 20kg and they held up exceptionally well.

Can Uzwelo export products?

Yes we do have an export license and can facilitate foreign orders

What fabric are your bags made from?

The bags in our range are made from polyester fabric

Who are The Bateleurs?

Founded in 1998, The Bateleurs is a South African Non-Profit Company (NPC), with over 200 volunteer pilots and aircraft. It provides its beneficiaries and the public with an aerial perspective of the environment and has coordinated several diverse missions throughout South Africa and Africa in support of environmental issues. Its mission is well-aligned with the United Nations Millennium Goals, ensuring environmental sustainability and assisting with the integration of the principles of sustainable development into country policies and programmes.

The Bateleurs provides decision-makers, researchers, educators, other NPC’s and the media with information which assists them to make sound environmental decisions. There is no charge to beneficiaries for the environmental missions flown by The Bateleurs, and a rigorous process is in place to review and approve (or not) all flight requests, to monitor missions and track all the activities of The Bateleurs. Pilot members and their aircraft provide the equivalent of 70% of the annual budget, the balance is sourced through fundraising activities.

In addition to assisting the above organisations, The Bateleurs’ Bonizwe Programme assists university students who have already chosen a course of study within conservation and/or the environment. We offer Bateleurs flights to our partner tertiary institutions as part of a practical exercise to be included in the curriculum of a relevant course for senior students. In this way, flights sponsored by The Bateleurs Bonizwe project build on learning and knowledge already acquired by the students and add the benefit of an aerial perspective.

What’s the difference between buying and pledging a school bag?

Buying a school bag means that you will be doing a normal purchase of the bag that will come to you and pledging a school bag means that with your purchase Uzwelo will include your bag in the next school bag handout that will go to underprivileged schools

What is the standard size for the shopper bags?

There are two sizes available:

  • 37 x 33 x 24 cm (Wide) and
  • 36 x 41 x 10 cm (Narrow)

How do I go about getting a quote for bags for my event?

What format must I send my artwork in?

Do you have a physical shop I can go to?

We do not have a physical store, however, we do deliver nationwide and you are welcome to visit our factory in Durban.

rPET

What is rPET?

rPET stands for recycled polyethylene terephthalate, or recycled PET. PET is a strong, durable and recyclable material that is used for soda bottles, water bottles and food jars. rPET is produced by collecting, sorting and recycling PET, then refining the material into flakes that can be turned into new products.

rPet printing options

We offer Dye sublimation & UV printing on rPET Stitchbond fabric.

We only offer UV printing on rPET Felt fabric.

Screen printing is not an in-house service and would be sent out for printing and quoted separately.

What is the best way to care for may rPET Felt bag?

Clean your rPET bag using a damp cloth and small drop on Handy Andy

Can I Custom print a logo on my bag?

Yes you can print a badge label or side loop label that is sewn onto the bag, alternatively, you can UV or Dye-Sub print onto the bag, this has additional cost depending on the size of label or print

Depending on stock availability, delivery will take about 3 to 4 days from the dispatch date

Do you have a local pickup location in my area?

Local pickups are only applicable if you live in and around Durban, or if you have someone who can pick the items for you in Durban.

Do you have an exchange policy?

We do, depending on stock availability. The customer has to cover freight costs.

What are the delivery charges?

Delivery charges are calculated automatically on your basket page and will differ based on the area

Do you deliver to my area?

We deliver nationwide using our freight partners DLS, contact us at sakhile@uzwelo.co.za and tanya@uzwelo.co.za for quotes on International orders.

What is the Minimum Order Quantity?

MOQ for wholesale pricing applies from 50 units. Bulk/Sliding scale pricing from 1,000 -1,500 units.
