Uzwelo Bags, a brand born out of Expand a Sign’s need to re-cycle waste fabric from within the textile printing industry. We use our waste fabric that normally goes into landfills to make functional, stylish and affordable bags of all shapes and sizes.
But it’s so much more than that…
It’s about how lives could change, how families could be empowered and how communities could be uplifted and brought out of poverty through skill development, entrepreneurship, education and giving people real hope.
With this simple vision, we partner with like-minded initiatives and corporates that don’t intend on changing the world but instead change the world for one person at a time.
One of these initiatives is the Ride for MRP Foundation on Dec 3 – 4, a ride with purpose to break the cycle of poverty and inequality in South Africa.
The annual ride with purpose is a grueling 606km ride from Johannesburg to Durban that’s spanned over two days and rallies cyclists together to raise funds and awareness for the MRP Foundation’s youth empowerment programmes in education and skills development.
Uzwelo and Expand a Sign are extremely privileged to partner with such an amazing initiative by providing each of the participants with a custom-made carry bag for their equipment, with Expand a Sign sponsoring 3 Mobile Electronic Branding Units (MEBU) units for the safety vehicles – offering additional road safety for the 50 cyclists by creating greater visibility for motorists.
